Sharing Lists and Searches

Heritage Online users with permission to share their saved searches and lists with other readers will have a Share button in the right-hand column of the Saved lists and Saved searches tables on the Favourites page.

The icon indicates that the search is not currently shared: the icon indicates that it is.

Sharing lists or searches

Click the Share icon to open the Share List or Share Search page:

Use this form to select the readers to whom you will share the list or search.

• Select the Share using the following options radio button to share the list to readers to readers from a specified reader category, with a specific tutor, in a specific department or on a specific course. Tick the required tickbox then select the value in the selection box to the right. Only one tickbox can be selected.
• Alternatively, select the Share to all following Reader IDs radio button to share the list with a selected list of readers. Enter the reader IDs in the associated entry box. If entering more than one ID, separate them with commas and/or spaces.
• Alternatively, select the Share using a Saved list of readers radio button to share to a list of readers which you have already created. Enter the name of the list in the box to the right.

Click OK to share the list or search.

Modifying the list of readers a saved search or list is shared with

To remove the sharing, or change the list of readers a list or search is shared with, click the Share icon to open the Share List or Share Search page:

You can amend the settings in the Share using the following options section, or select a list of readers to share to using the Share using a Saved list of readers radio button, or select the Share using a Saved list of readers radio button to share to a pre-existing list of readers. In addition, there is an extra option Stop sharing this list. Select this if you no longer wish to share the list or search.

Click OK once you have made the required amendments.

Note: The list or search will be removed from the Favourites page of the readers it was previously shared with.
